Bordering the beautiful provinces of Salzburg, Styria and Carinthia the Murtal Holiday Region is set between the Niedere Tauern and Nockeberg mountains and is known for its winter skiing and natural splendour. The chalet is ideally located a few hundred metres from the new golf course, between the villages of St Georgen/St Lorenzen (3 mins) and the medieval town of Murau (5 mins). The cable car at Kreischberg is 4 minutes away by car or train.

Supermarkets and Restaurants
There are 7 supermarkets in Murau. St Georgen has a Spar minimarket for freshly baked bread.
The Gasthof Schafferwirt is just over the Mur river, a 3 minute walk, and is excellent for food or just drinks. There are numerous restaurants in Murau and St Lorenzen serving good quality local cuisine.
